Jailbreak trading guide

How trading works on Jailbreak's Trading Island, what can be traded, how HyperChrome levels work and what duped values mean.

Updated October 13, 2026

Badimo added trading to Jailbreak in the Trading Update in June 2022. Since then vehicles, rims, textures, spoilers, furniture and more change hands every day.

How to trade in Jailbreak

  1. Go to the Trading Island. All trading happens there. You can reach it from the ship at Beach Town, and the Trading VIP game pass lets you teleport there from team selection.
  2. Walk up to a player and press E (tap on mobile) to send a trade request. They have a minute to accept.
  3. Add up to 8 items per side.
  4. Both players have to accept twice to finish the trade.

The game blocks trades that are too lopsided and shows an "Unbalanced" message, and it shows a scam warning several times along the way. Badimo states it isn't responsible for scams, so the warning is worth reading.

What you can't trade

Cash can't be traded, and neither can the free starter vehicles, game passes and some special items. Check the wiki's trading page if you're not sure about an item.

HyperChromes

HyperChromes are rare colors from robbery bonus rolls. Each color starts at Level 1 and levels up to Level 5 as you roll more of it. Higher levels are worth much more on our Jailbreak value list. HyperShift itself can't be traded. Value lists still price it, as the value of the full set of eight Level 5 HyperChromes it takes to own it, so we show it on the list but leave it out of the trade calculator.

Clean vs duped

Some Jailbreak value lists show two values for an item: a clean value and a lower duped value. A duped item is a copy created through a bug, so traders usually pay less for it. Where a list shows a duped value, we show it on the item's page. Items with no listed duped value, such as ones released after duping was patched, show only one value.

How Jailbreak values work

Values are in in-game cash and are set by the community, not by Badimo. Our Jailbreak value list takes the median of several value lists. When they disagree a lot, it shows a range or marks the item as unsettled.
